Vandalism Vandalism---What does it mean to me??
Every item that is damaged or destroyed by vandalism and has to be replaced is being paid for with money from OUR Home Owners Association Dues. There is NO budget for these so either we go without replacing items or something else in the budget suffers. For example, the basketball goals have been destroyed and replaced several times and the pool area has been vandalized too. We all want our community to shine so we all must be vigilant of these vandals. The Overland Park police are aware of the problems and have agreed to patrol our neighborhood but until these people are caught and prosecuted, the home owners will continue to suffer the losses. The Home Owners Association Board is discussing the use of security lighting and cameras in the common areas at a cost to the homeowners!! If you have information regarding vandalism, you are urged to contact the OPPD immediately! Parents please note that you are liable for ANY damage done by your child(ren). |
